Concert of Manolo Kabezabolo

The presentation of the new album of Spanish punk legend Manolo Kabezabolo brought a nice surprise to lovers of music who were at Teatro de las Esquinas of Zaragoza. Manolo Kabezabolo was launching his new work If you still have teeth left it means you were not there. (Si te quedan dientes es que no estuviste ahí).

Not only Manolo Kabezabolo was back to musical activity with a new album, what is more, he rendered one of the finest performances of his career and made everybody feel joyful because he seemed younger and the concert was spellbinding.

First 3 albums of Manolo Kabezabolo were brilliant, fun and original. Lyrics were ironical and humorous. Nevertheless, after his fourth album "La odisea va despacio" he entered into a little period of decay. For instance, in 2006 he suspended his concert at Zaragoza Festivities.

In 2014 nonetheless, he is having a new lease of life, the new musicians who are with him (los que no dan pie con bolo) let Manolo Kabezabolo to feel loose and comfortable to sing freely. He does not have to worry about musical notes hence he acts as a main singer. Thanks to these musicians his old songs sounded better and he onstage behaved like a great artist. The comeback of Manolo Kabezabolo could have scarcely been better.

In 1990s I saw Manolo Kabezabolo several times as he had to play the guitar his songs did not sound as good as they do sound now, the other day the music was really good. Likewise, there were some funny moments as well such as every time he talked to the public and when he brought a young girl to scenery. Thereafter, it seemed singer Evaristo was going to collaborate with him in the song "Resina, agua y ajo" but Evas did not appear though.

Subsequently, Manolo Kabezabolo took revenge on him and he jumped to the scenery singing along Gatillazo and even touching the derriere of Evaristo, the erstwhile leader of renowned punk band La Polla.

The first band to play on this Manolo Kabezabolo presentation was an unknown band for me that came from Basque Country called RadioCrimen that were not bad. It is an interesting punk band and we have to pointed out the wonderful look and performance of the main singer. They have good songs.

Evaristo was the biggest attraction that night and I did want to see him. I had not seen Evaristo since 2006 and he proved he is on good form albeit the concert of Gatillazo was not perfect though. There were plenty of halts, you could not clearly hear what Evaristo was saying to the public and we missed lots of songs from his first and famous punk formation La Polla Records. They barely played 4 (Johnny, Txus, Lucky man for you and Odio a los partidos) and a lot of songs of Gatillazo sounded really similar in musical terms. Perhaps he did not want to devalue his current musical formation, perhaps he want to focus on the present but with such a good set list it turned to be crazy to not played more songs from such iconic formation.
               

All in all, Radiocrimen were good, Evaristo positive as always but who do really triumphed it was Manolo Kabezabolo and his band los que no dan pie con bolo

Rihanna is no strange to controversy albeit these two recent news would have affected her for sure as her lovable Instagram account on where she tended to post semi-naked pictures has changed its policy and Rihanna has seen her popular Instagram account deleted.

Not long ago, I wrote the story of a minor band (in importance at least) that has sued Led Zeppelin over the song and authory of Stairway to Heaven. As it could lead to devalue the importance and relevance of this  legendary hard rock band  I am writing now about an incredible Led Zeppelin Classic Song Whole Lotta Love that has been recently remix with a new Video. This spellbinding Led Zeppelin videoclip is included in the deluxe version of new disc of Led Zeppelin.

Lana del Rey was born in New York city but she was raised in a rural place of the State of New York. At 16 she entered a female boarding school in Connecticut although she left it in order to start college in New York City, (she started Metaphysics) soon thereafter Lana del Rey picked her first guitar. When her career was launched her backgrounds were deemed humble but later on, it was revealed that an important record label had been working on so that create such image. Lana del Rey evokes the golden age of the Hollywood actresses singing dark tales of love. As a matter of fact, almost every song in her first album Born to die is about love, tales that are not sweet but painful albeit Lana del Rey conveys a positive attitude.

Furthermore, other songs are about her experiences living in a parking and reaching fame as Lana del Rey was living hard times sleeping in a car and hanging out with bad people. Notwithstanding criticism her skills as a singer and a songwriter are undoubtedly fabulous. Born to die is the most important song in the album, it is the main single. It has a great video clip in which appears the model Bradley Soileau.

When Lana del Rey was a teenager she used to drink a lot, far too much, something she has not done for eight years as she faced great problems concerning to drinking. She had two overly strong relationships which did not end well even though they were both in love, this can be seen on the songs Off the races, National anthem and Blue jeans. Lana del Rey considers herself much more of a songwriter than a singer and she started to write songs at the kindly age of eleven, she was also the leader of her church choir.

Some has called Lana del Rey the new Nancy Sinatra in a gangsta modern version. Many claim Lana del Rey has destroyed her face because of plastic surgery, they say her lips are too big. However, she has sworn not having had a single operation at all. Indeed, Lana del Rey assures that few years ago she was so broke that ended up living in a car therefore she has never had enough money to spend on plastic surgery. As far as I am concerned, the important thing about Lana del Rey is the  quality of her work. Born to die henceforth all she had done is overlaid with an impressive quality. Likewise, the last song Lana del Rey has done is West Coast as you can see now.

Emily Ratajkoski, a career after Blurred Lines

If the racy, sleazy, sordid yet widely popular videoclip Blurred Lines, pop music cum soft porn had something interesting was the discovery of an unknown model named Emily Ratajkowski who is the protagonist of this post.

Taylor Momsen abandoned the television series in the Fourth Season because she wanted touring with her band The Pretty Reckless. Being a teenager, Taylor Momsen dropped out of school very soon because she considered it was not interesting for her as she was going to triumph without formation. Likewise, she was on the verge of being on the show Hannah Montana but she lost against Miley Cyrus something that I have found peculiar seeing how at that time they were going to be nice, good girls and now they are music idols who create plenty of controversy albeit Taylor Momsen has far better taste and style.

Led Zeppelin are sued over the song Stairway to Heaven

Whilst British band Led Zeppelin were famous and entered rock history, leader and guitarist of Spirit, whose song Taurus is supposed to have inspired Stairway to Heaven, ended up playing in a Indian Restaurant in exchange for food. Randy California died in 1994 but now his relatives and friends have saved enough money  to sue Led Zeppelin over the song Stairway to Heaven. Did Led Zeppelin rob the song? Check out by yourself.

Song Taurus was recorded prior to Stairway to Heaven. What is more, Led Zeppelin were touring with Spirit when they did play that song Taurus. Now, they request Led Zeppelin to include the name of Randy California to be credited as author of such a famous song. Led Zeppelin composed Stairway to Heaven years later in Wales, a theme that generates plenty of money. Will it be enough? Will Led Zeppelin recognize this or there is no wrongdoing? Are we talking about inspiration or plagiarism?.

Metallica, origins, death of bassist Cliff Burton and live songs

 ORIGINS OF METALLICA

Little could imagine the actual leader of Metallica, James Hetfield, what was going to experience incidentally the day he answered to an advertisement in a local newspaper of Los Angeles (The Recycler (as a curiosity other bands such as Mötley Crüe or Guns N Roses did also publish in the same newspaper ads looking for musicians to join their bands) issued the now drummer of Metallica Lars Ulrich, born in Denmark and son of a professional tennis player who despite seeking a career in the world of Tennis ended up creating alongside James Hetfield  Metallica.

DEATH OF ORIGINAL METALLICA BASSIST CLIFF BURTON

Let alone when in 1986 Metallica suffered from a bus accident in Sweden thus the bass player Cliff Burton perished unfortunately (Cliff Burton oddly won a card game to Kirk Hamett  hence he chose the position to occupy in the bus they were travelling by that also was the reason of his death). Still, when in 2001 the bass player, Jason Newstead  who was the substitute of Cliff Burton, left the band as he was not given permission to start other musical projects of his own something that led James Ulrich to enter into a Rehabilitation Center while the rest of the members of Metallica take some time off away from the group that was far from having a good moment.
