The New Hit of Rosalía

Rosalia does not stop. Earlier this year, she released a new album, and similarly, she has worked with the best artists. Her new hit Despechada has everything to become the song of summer 2022.

This is the official music video of this new hit of Rosalía. However, it is not as good in my opinion as the first video included in this post.

There was never before an artist singing in Spanish like Rosalía, able to hobnobbing with the best artists of the world or being able to perform at Glastonbury for instance,  play at Saturday Night Live, or even winning a Grammy award.

I really think Rosalia has never played in the capital of my region, Zaragoza, it is high time authorities do sign her so that she can sing in this city. She could do it this December.

Vladimir Putin had a whim for attacking Ukraine and now this country is being destroyed and its citizens massacred.

Amongst so much pain and desperation, we also find emotive stories. Andriy Khlyvyuk is a hip-hop and rock singer who sings for a band called Boombox and seeing how serious the situation in Ukraine is, he left the United States and came back to Kyiv in order to fight for his country.

In the streets of the Ukranian capital and clad in military clothes and wearing weapons he sang a traditional Ukraine song that tells of the red kalyna, a typical Ukrainian flower.

The song appeared on the Internet and a band from South Africa called The Kiffness has remixed this song which is now viral as it is a very touching and beautiful tune that you can discover now:

Eurovision 2021: Maneskin "Zitti e Buoni"

It was what Europe needed after a harsh year of a coronavirus pandemic (which is not over as yet regardless) that the winner of Eurovision 2021 were a rock band like the Italians Maneskin and their performance were as outstanding as their song Zitti e Buoni (it could be translated as: Shut up and everything is ok)

Spain pays somewhere in the region of 600 thousand euros to participate in Eurovision and alongside Britain, Germany, France and Italy our it goes directly to the final of the contest.

The result of Spain was certainly a pity, yet the result of Great Britain was far much more embarrassing because they ended up in the last position with zero points despite this country is very relevant as far as pop music is concerned for instance. What is more, the British singer is the brother of Sam Smith, a famous music star. British media assures European countries do hate Britain now because of Brexit.

I do not really think the song from Great Britain was so awful but what I really believe Italy deserved to win with such an incredible rock song. The performance of the Italian band Maneskin is truly spectacular as you might discover right now.
