Rosalia: New US Rolling Stone Cover and New Live Version

 Rosalía has started the new year in style insofar as she is on the cover of Rolling Stone magazine in the United States as you can discern now:

Rolling Stone magazine revolutionized the world of music and music journalism. Born in San Francisco (Northern California) was able to captivate the audience in such a way it became the "Bible of rock and roll music" and indeed, artists fought each other in order to appear on the cover because it was deemed an honour (it still is).

The Rolling Stones, which was one of the best rock and roll bands in the world at that time, sued the magazine because they thought the title was very similar to their name hence illegal. However, both parties reached an agreement which fulfillment still is ongoing.

Rolling Stone magazine opened to other musical genres and in the 1990s, it embraced the world of cinema and other kinds of articles, even political ones. With the Internet kicking off Rolling Stone lost relevance as many other magazines but the real problem it faces nowadays is that the new owner is a close friend of Donald Trump only interested in obtaining money when this magazine was very idealistic in its inception.

In fact, seeing this change in the ownership many of the outstanding writers of Rolling Stone left. For instance, critic Peter Travers who was the movie reviewer of the magazine for decades. 

Anyway, Rolling Stone still is relevant and Rosalía makes history.  As a matter of fact, if you are not from America or a country in the same orbit and you do not sing in English achieving what Rosalía has just done is truly remarkable and complicated.

However, even though the pictures are spectacular I was not impressed with the article published on Rosalía and I believe it is because I live in Spain thereby I got plenty of information about her and the magazine published something bearing the American audience in mind.

The Best Songs of 2022

I usually end up my writing year with a selection of the best songs as I have done in this 2022 too. Even though I have not selected a great quantity of songs perhaps this time the quality is better than past years.

YUNGBLUD Live "Tissues" is the Best Rock Song of 2022

  I did not know this artist called Yungblud yet this new song Tissues is the best I have heard in this year 2022 inside the world of rock music.

I discovered this musician thanks to Spanish journalist Inés Chamil who works for the musical magazine Mariskal Rock who interviewed him recently and in a superb way as you can see in her Instagram account.

 Despite the music video of Tissues is not as fabulous as it should be when this artist plays this song live Tissues sounds even better. Watch this performance in the show of Jimmy Kimmel for instance.

Likewise, Yungblud played Tissues at the gala of the 40 Principales in Madrid, Spain, recently and so awesome this performance resulted that this artist jumped onto a table as you can see in the following video:

She has scarcely reached the tender age of 25 years of age the past month of October, but Belgium model Joy Van der Eecken is a fashion star for sure and as a matter of fact, she is the protagonist of one of the best covers of the world of fashion in this year 2022 in my opinion: the one she starred for Czech version of ELLE magazine that you can see right now.

Bad Gyal

 I talked about her recently and I am showing the link again now so that you can discover the amazing performance of Brazilian-born artist Anitta in Madrid recently.

and after seeing this performance I devised it clearly: Anitta should try a collab with Rosalia insofar as it would have plenty of possibilities to become a worldwide hit and, what is more, it would have a steamy and hot music video overlaid with sheer erotism. 

However, I have just discovered similarly, an artist called Bad Gyal who, like Rosalía, is also from Catalonia, and of course, she is not as famous as Rosalía yet when discovering her song and its music video Sin Carne (which translation could be Without an ID) is clear she does own a promising future and she is possessed of plenty of talent. 

As a result, Bad Gyal could be perfectly the new Rosalía but, of course, Rosalia is a huge artist and I do not think Bad Gyal does have as many hits of her own as her because the truth is: Rosalia is really, really famous and the star of plenty of popular songs.

Anyway, her song and music video Sin Carné, which can be seen now, makes one believe Bad Gyal could be the new Rosalia for sure. Take a look!!!

However, Bad Gyal has just received an award from MTV Europe as the best Spanish artist something that sounds overly strange because Rosalía is more famous than her and, what is more, Rosalía has recorded a good album this year 2022. All in all, Is Bad Gyal the new Rosalía??

There was never before an artist singing in Spanish like Rosalía, able to hobnobbing with the best artists of the world or being able to perform at Glastonbury for instance,  play at Saturday Night Live, or even winning a Grammy award.

I really think Rosalia has never played in the capital of my region, Zaragoza, it is high time authorities do sign her so that she can sing in this city. She could do it this December.
